Important Information
Google is responsible for the privacy and security of this Service. For information on Google’s privacy and security obligations, please refer to Google Security and Privacy Statement and Google Workspace for Education Privacy Statement. NCCU’s G Workspace administrators carry out management in accordance with Google’s security and privacy policies. Google provides G Workspace administrators of NCCU permissions to access any data stored in accounts, including the contents of e-mails. However, the Center will not enable the access functions above, unless it is required by the law or regulations.
This Service covers a wide range of applications. Users should refer to the instructions provided by Google for each service application. https://support.google.com/?hl=en. The Center only provides consultation and services for account activation, logout, and password change.
The Letter Tai-Jiao-Zi (4)-Zi No. 1060006297 from the Ministry of Education instructed that only the official business mailbox may be used to send and receive official business mail. Therefore, users are not allowed to use the e-mail service of this system for official communications.
When using this Service, the data, records, and other electronic information stored by users may be stored in regions outside the Republic of China. Users who have concerns about this should carefully evaluate their needs before activating this Service.

National Chengchi University Google Workspace Terms of Service
Article 1 Understanding and Acceptance of the Terms
Before you start using the NCCU Google Workspace service (hereinafter referred to as this “Service”), carefully read these Terms of Service (hereinafter referred to as this “ToS”). If you do not accept the contents of this ToS, you may stop using this Service. Once you use this Service, it means that you have read, understand, and agree to accept all contents of this ToS.
If you are under the age of majority specified in the Civil Code, you must have your legal representative read, understand, and agree to the contents of this ToS and its subsequent revisions before you may continue to use this Service. When you continue to use this service, it will be deemed that your legal representative has read, understands, and agrees to the contents of this ToS and its subsequent revisions.
The content of this ToS may be updated at any time by the Computer Center (hereinafter referred to as the “Center”) of National Chengchi University (NCCU). The Center will announce the contents of revisions on its website without separate notification. Please pay attention to announcements on the Center’s website. If there are any changes to the contents of this ToS, you will be deemed to have read, understand, and agree to the revision if you continue to use this Service after the revision. If you disagree with the revision, you may apply to deactivate your account for this Service in person at the Center and stop using this Service.
This Service may be terminated at any time without notifying you in advance if you are found in violation of this ToS. If NCCU sustains any damage due to your violation of this ToS, NCCU seek compensation for the damages from you, including but not limited to litigation expenses.
Article 2 General Specifications
If you engage in the following conduct when using this Service, this Service may be terminated at any time without notifying you in advance:
Violate the "National Chengchi University Network Usage Regulations” or the Ministry of Education’s “Taiwan Academic Network Usage Regulations.”
Violate the "Google Workspace Education Online Agreement":https://workspace.google.com/intl/en/terms/education_terms/
Use this Service to infringe on the rights of others or violate the law.
Upload, post, or use other methods to transmit to this website computer viruses designed to interfere with, damage, or limit the functions of any computer software, hardware, or communications equipment.
Interfere with or disrupt this Service or servers and networks connected to this Service, or violate any regulations, procedures, policies, or specifications of networks connected to this Service.
Intercept, tamper with, collect, store, or delete other people's personal information, e-mails, or other data without legal authorization, or use such data for any illegal or improper purpose.
Use this Service under the name of others, or let others use your account.
Other conduct that violates government laws and regulations, and conduct that the Center has legitimate reasons to deem inappropriate.
Article 3 Service Activation and Withdrawal
This Service is set up under the Google Workspace for Education service provided by Google, and requires an application for use. You can decide whether to participate.
You understand that when applying to activate this Service, the Center will provide some of your personal information to Google, including: Account name, name, and password.
Please avoid using this Service to process confidential or sensitive business or personal information.
You may apply to withdraw after activating this Service. Applications to activate this Service will not be accepted within one year after withdrawal.
Article 4 Eligibility for Services
You must be a current faculty or staff member, student, or alumnus of NCCU.
Article 5 Service Deactivation
This Service will be suspended or terminated if individual users have any one of the following circumstances:
Qualifications have become invalid, such as: Identity has changed.
Account was suspended by the Center or Google due to violation of this ToS.
The usage exceeded the limit announced for this Service.
If a user's account for this Service is suspended by the Center, he or she must submit an application to restore the account within three months. If the user fails to submit an application to restore the account within the time limit, the account will be deleted.

Article 6 Deletion of Data
This Service is provided by Google. You must understand that when you delete data intentionally or accidentally, apply to withdraw from this Service, or when your account is deleted, the data will be deleted and cannot be restored.
Article 7 Termination of Services
You understand that this Service may be terminated when any of the following circumstances occur:
Google changes its terms of service, scope of authorization, or charging methods, resulting in the exclusion of certain identities, or NCCU no longer meeting the terms of authorization.
Google discontinues this Service.
The Center terminates all or a part of services due to changes in NCCU's information service policy.

The data generated by users through this Service is stored and maintained by Google. The Center cannot interfere with the way the data is used, nor can it ensure privacy. Please read carefully and agree to the “Google Security & Privacy” before using this Service.
The system stability and data storage of this Service are operated and maintained free of charge by Google Inc. Therefore the Center cannot guarantee the stability of services or the integrity of its data. Users should backup data on their own to avoid data loss.

The Center reserves the right to change or suspend the content of each service due to adjustments to operational strategies at any time without notifying the users beforehand. Furthermore, the Center shall not bear any liability to any users or third parties for the suspension or change of service regardless of the situation. The Center recommends that you keep your own backups.
